Philosophy

Our standards are high, but our pretensions are not. We concentrate on classic dishes, using only the highest quality ingredients, and delivering them to the table cooked to perfection and in an ambience designed to ensure customers enjoy maximum pleasure from their visit.

Beef is king in our restaurants and we go to great lengths to ensure the quality. We buy English beef from farmers we know and trust in Yorkshire and Lancashire, and the meat is dry aged and tenderised for a minimum of 28 days before it arrives in any of our kitchens.

Prime cuts of beef, cooked to taste and served with fries, salad and a choice of sauces have become the Black & Blue trademark.

But our menu extends beyond steak. Our burgers are hand-made in house, from 100 percent beef and served with a variety of toppings to suit any appetite. With a mouth-watering selection of lamb, chicken, fresh salmon fillet or tuna steak, and salad dishes, we offer something for everyone.
